The loads — heavy beam bundles and coiled pipe — demanded robust lift machinery. At the same time the crane could not reduce usable workshop height. That forced choices like low-headroom hoists, underslung trolleys, or flat-top girder geometries to keep the hook path as high as possible while retaining safe load controls and required lifting margins.
2. Low roof clearance
Low ceilings created repeated clearance conflicts with girders, ducts and lighting. Operators had to steer lifts around obstacles, which slowed cycles and raised the chance of contact.
